Rava Pongal

Cooking Time: 15 mins.

Ingredients:
  • Rava -1 cup
  • Moong Dhal -1 cup
  • Ghee - 5 Tsp
  • Peppercorns - 2 Tsp
  • Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
  • Green Chilli - 1
  • Ginger - 1 inch
  • Curry leaf
  • Cashew nuts
  • Salt as required

Method:

In a pan fry the Rava and washed Moong dhal separately until aroma comes out (don't burn it. Fry without gap).
Boil 4 cups of water in a pan, add moong dhal and cook until they become soft but not mushy. (you can even pressure cook it)
Add Rava and required salt, mix well.
For Tempering:
Ghee, 
1 tsp of Peppercorn (allow it get roast)
Cashew nuts
Crush the followings coarsely and add 
Cumin seeds
Peppercorns
Green Chilli
Ginger 
curry leaf 
fry and add to Rava and mix well until Pongal become soft and smooth consistency. 

Extra... 
Serve it with coconut chutney or Sambar.
